Delightful and festive Halloween Cake Pops that are fun to make and perfect for your spooky celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate melts or candy coating
  • Edible eyes
  • Sprinkles or other Halloween-themed decorations

Instructions

  1. Bake the cakes: Prepare the chocolate and vanilla cakes according to the package instructions. Allow them to cool completely after baking.
  2. Crumble the cakes: Once cooled, crumble both cakes into a large bowl, mixing them together to combine the flavors.
  3. Make buttercream frosting: In a separate bowl, mix together softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine cake and frosting: Add the buttercream frosting to the crumbled cake mixture. Mix well until the cake and frosting are fully incorporated.
  5. Form cake balls: Using your hands, shape small balls from the cake mixture and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Freeze the cake balls: Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes or until they have firmed up.
  7. Melt chocolate: While the pops are firming, melt the chocolate melts or candy coating according to package instructions.
  8. Insert lollipop sticks: Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into the center of each cake ball.
  9. Coat the cake pops: Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate until completely coated. Allow excess coating to drip off.
  10. Decorate and set: Before the chocolate sets, decorate the cake pops with edible eyes or sprinkles. Let them sit until the coating hardens completely.

Notes

Make sure the cakes are completely cool before crumbling to avoid a soggy mixture.
