The ultimate comfort food, this Crockpot Chicken and Gravy combines tender chicken with a rich, savory gravy, all cooked effortlessly in your slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley) for garnish
  • Optional: Vegetables (carrots or green beans)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and onion soup mix. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  4. Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the crockpot, allowing it to absorb the gravy.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Ladle the chicken and gravy over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.

Notes

Use fresh chicken for the best texture and flavor. Adjust cooking time for frozen chicken by an hour.
