Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Ensure they are uniform in size for even cooking.
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar Adds a rich, tangy flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps to tenderize the chicken and adds depth to the marinade.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Balances the acidity of the vinegar with natural sweetness.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic provides robust flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Enhances all the other flavors in the dish.
  • Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary) for garnish Adds color and freshness when serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This step ensures the chicken cooks evenly.
  • In a bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes for optimal flavor.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). The chicken should be tender and juicy.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving. This chicken can be enjoyed on its own or added to salads, pasta, or grain bowls.

Notes

Tips: Don’t overcook the chicken; use a meat thermometer for accuracy. Let the chicken rest after baking to retain juices. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
