Delicious pan-fried chicken gyoza with a savory filling of ground chicken and vegetables, wrapped in delicate gyoza wrappers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package gyoza wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • Water for steaming

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by combining ground chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Shape the gyoza by placing a wrapper in your palm, adding a teaspoon of filling, wetting the edges, and pinching to seal.
  3. Fry the gyoza in a hot skillet with oil for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Steam the gyoza by adding a splash of water to the skillet, covering with a lid, and letting them steam for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure gyoza are sealed properly to prevent leaking while cooking. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding.
