Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar

  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter and then stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently to distribute them evenly.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for the best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to keep the bread fluffy.
