A festive twist on a classic appetizer, these Halloween Deviled Eggs feature a creamy yolk filling shaped like skeletons, perfect for spooky gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Black olives (for decorating)
  • Paprika (for garnish)
  • Skeleton mold (for shaping)

Instructions

  1. Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the egg yolks gently with a fork. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into each egg white half, filling them generously to create a mound.
  4. Use a skeleton mold to shape the filling as desired. This fun step enhances the spooky theme.
  5. Slice the black olives to resemble eyes and place them on top of the filled egg whites. Sprinkle paprika over the eggs for an added pop of color.
  6. Chill the deviled eggs in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy them cold for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Make sure the eggs are cooked thoroughly to facilitate easy peeling. Fresh eggs are harder to peel than older eggs, so using eggs that are a week or so old can be beneficial. Be creative with the decoration! Consider using cherry tomatoes or radishes for a ghoulish effect.
