Delightfully spooky treats combining rich fudgy brownies with adorable marshmallow ghosts, perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 oz) box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the package)
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1 (10 oz) bag white melting wafers (about 1 ½ cups)
  • ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×9 inch baking pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them into 16 squares.
  2. Transfer the brownie squares to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about an inch of space between each brownie for easy decorating.
  3. Melt the white melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl according to the package instructions. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  4. Dip the bottom of each marshmallow into the melted white chocolate, then place the marshmallow upright in the center of each brownie square.
  5. Drizzle a bit more melted white chocolate over each marshmallow, covering it completely, and allow some drips to run down the sides for a spooky effect.
  6. Let the brownies sit at room temperature until the white chocolate has cooled and set completely.
  7. Melt the semisweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Pipe eyes and a mouth on each marshmallow ghost to create spooky faces.
  8. Allow the chocolate decorations to dry completely before serving.

Notes

The brownie mix you choose can vary in flavor; opt for a rich chocolate variety for best results. You can also substitute with good-quality white chocolate for the melting wafers.
