A quick and comforting dish made with chicken broth and eggs, perfect for weeknight dinners or as a soothing appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Bring broth to a boil in a pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl until well combined.
  3. Simmer the broth once boiling by reducing the heat.
  4. Add the beaten eggs slowly into the broth while stirring gently.
  5. Enhance the flavor by stirring in sesame oil and chopped green onions.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Thicken if desired by mixing cornstarch with water and adding it to the broth.
  8. Serve hot in bowls.

Notes

Control the simmering heat to avoid curdled eggs. Use fresh eggs for the best texture.
