1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until fully combined.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
