A comforting, flavorful lasagna made effortlessly in a slow cooker that delivers all the rich taste of traditional lasagna without the hassle.

Ingredients

  • 9-12 lasagna noodles (no-boil or regular; break them if using regular)
  • 1 pound ground beef (or Italian sausage)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ricotta mixture: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Brown the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain excess fat and mix in the marinara sauce.
  3. Layer the ingredients: In your slow cooker, start with a layer of sauce. Place lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture on top. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles topped with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Cook it: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the noodles are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  5. Serve: Once cooked, let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure noodles are well-covered with sauce to prevent drying out. Let it rest after cooking for better slicing.
