Delightful savory chorizo bites that are perfect for parties or a quick snack. Easy to make and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh or cured chorizo
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the chorizo in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until browned; drain excess grease and remove from heat.
  2. Combine cream cheese, shredded cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and pepper in a large bowl; stir until fully blended.
  3. Fold the cooked chorizo into the cheese mixture until evenly incorporated.
  4. Scoop a tablespoon of the mixture and form into small balls; place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
