Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked rice (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix in a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, broccoli, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. If you’re using rice, add it to the mixture as well.
  3. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese until well incorporated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. For extra crunch, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle this mixture over the cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the dish to set.

Notes

Ensure chicken is fully cooked and shredded evenly for the best texture. Thaw frozen broccoli and drain excess water before using. Adjust seasonings to your taste.
