Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Red pepper flakes, optional
Fresh parsley, chopped
8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Pour in the white wine and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it reduce for about 2-3 minutes.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
Stir in the cooked pasta along with the remaining butter, lemon juice, and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to combine.
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.
Notes
Be careful not to overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
