Classic and delicious chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars: Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together.
  4. Add the eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Scoop the cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet with 2 inches of space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges turn golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
