A classic dish combining tender chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and pasta for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of fettuccine or your choice of pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the chicken in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Make the Alfredo sauce by reducing the heat to low, pouring in heavy cream, and bringing it to a gentle simmer. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, using reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency if needed.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta in the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for 2 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Garnish and serve immediately with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Don’t overcook the pasta and adjust the seasoning to your preference.
